Love the Sinner; Hate the Sin

I found this article on Facebook.  It’s worth sharing.

“I’m Christian, unless you’re gay.”

I found some Bible verses that back up completely what the article is about.  And there are more; I compiled this list in under 10 minutes.

“God is love.”  1 John 4:8

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.”  Luke 6:31

“‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than this.”  Mark 12:31

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”  1 Peter 4:8

Jesus ate with corrupt tax collectors.  Luke 19:1-10

He forgave a sinful woman.  Luke 7:36-50

He ate with many sinners.  In fact, one of the Twelve Apostles was a tax collector.  Matthew 9:9-13

There’s a definite trend here:  Love everyone!  If you must hate something, then love the sinner and hate the sin.
